Save our Trees

Do you notice signs that read: Save our Trees or Plant a tree today in your neighborhood? What can you say about those signs? Maybe you would ask: Why is there a need to save trees when there are plenty of trees around us?  Or maybe you would reason: I’ve read in the encyclopedia that a third of the Earth’s land surface is covered by forest. Then, there is plenty for all of us to share.
              
                Yes, my friend. A third of the Earth’s land surface is covered by forests. That was true. But nowadays, vast areas of forests are cut down for timber or burned to clear land for farming or housing projects. And the trees that are felled or burned are not as few as ten or twenty but hundreds and thousands of trees every year!
             
               Trees are being cut in large numbers. Our mountains are slowly but surely losing trees. This is because of the rampant illegal logging some people do. Knowing that forests and trees are fast diminishing, we must be alarmed! Trees are very important. Why...because trees produce large amount of oxygen. When we breathe in, we take in oxygen. When we breathe out, we release carbon dioxide. Trees do the opposite. Through the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, thus cleansing the air of the poisonous gases. Trees regulate temperature and rainfall, trees act as a natural air conditioner by shading the Earth from the direct heat of the sun.
              
              Another thing is trees provide us with important products. In school, the pencils and papers and also the chair and the tables we use all cam from trees. At home, the rubber bands your mommy use to do your ponytail and your brother’s toys came from trees, too. Trees are cut down to provide us timber or lumber for manufacturing as well as for building the houses we live in. Wood from trees is also used as fuel. Trees are also sources of medicine. The bark leaves, and seeds of certain trees is where we get ingredients for some of the medicines we use today.  We must not fail to mention the food we eat everyday, the fruits that come from those trees. And the great role of trees is they are the one who reduce flooding and preventing soil erosion by holding the water from going down so fast.
                Those are just a few of the reasons why we must save our trees today. A smart fella like you will be able to name some more. Ask yourself: What if the world’s tropical rainforests vanish within your lifetime> Think my friend. There would be no more timber and firewood to use as fuel for our homes. The forest animals would surely lose their homes and this would lead to their migration and eventual extinction. Wild plants used as food and medicines would surely vanish. Rain water that pours over the bare mountains and hills would cause soil erosion, flooding, and landslides everywhere. Scary, isn’t it?
             
               As a simple you individual like you can help. How? Let’s plant a tree even once in your lifetime by growing a plant on a pot and taking good care of them. Another is let us practice the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, We know that almost everything that we use came from trees. When we reduce the amount of products we use and buy, we also reduce the number of trees that are cut down to make these products. When we choose to reuse we are also saving trees from being cut down. When we recycle paper products, we prevent new trees from being cut down.
             
               Fortunately, there is still time. We can still save our forests and save our lives. Simple things make big difference, Agree?

     "My teacher my hero", short but has a great impact to the youth and the society, but sometime it creates a paradox in our mind that a teacher should lead to innovation and adapt the great changes on her surroundings. Over the years, the teacher and the teaching profession in the country have been confronted by various issues that are directly or indirectly affecting them. One is the deteriorating quality of graduates that school have been producing over the years. Some educational researches however maintain that we cannot distinguish between "good" and "poor" or effective and ineffective" teaching strategy if no one knows for sure or agrees what competent teacher is.

      The teacher may not be the only variable, or even the major one, in the teaching learning equation, but he or she can make difference, either positive or negative to the students. Here it should be noted that negative teacher influences have greater impact than positive ones, in that students can be turned into non-learners and experience loss of self-concept in a matter of weeks as a result of a hostile or intimidating teacher. Like if the teacher is not approachable the student creates a doubt to pursue learning if the educator is creating an intimidating image to the student. If teachers do not make difference, the notions of teacher evaluation, teacher accountability, and teacher performance are non-workable and the educational policy cannot be formulated, and the educational objectives and set standards will not be realized. In this case, the teacher and teaching profession must be looked into a larger perspective rather than inference.

      Teaching might not be the most popular profession in the world but it's undoubtedly the most populated. There are indeed around 57 million teachers in the world I think, and about two thirds of them work in the developing countries for money sake. What makes the teaching profession special is that it signify a per-occupying truth that teachers are very important forces in our societies because they are the guarantors and molders of the education of future generations who ultimately will be the builders and somehow leaders of the nation. Its drastic change the youth has a great importance to the life of individual, yet we cannot deny that sometimes teaching is done on a matter of hardwork and  dedication and perseverance to pursue and tolerate the nation building. But sometimes the teaching profession is esteemed downward that the number of students population is not inclined to the number of teachers. This is done through increasing of pupil to teacher ratio and double shifts schools and multi-grade classes. It's the teacher who suffers from the measure due to the difficulty in handling such kind of a class scheme. In this way the pressure is put on the teachers incomes and status have stagnated or even declined because its the teachers part to give a better education on her student no matter what large number she will handle.

      The people's attitude towards the teaching profession has something to do also why teachers feel weakened and complain about loss of their status and diminishing respect. Their unclear career path and poor prospects of mobility and momentum are down, their working conditions that are always required to perform a variety of tasks not directly related to teaching have put them at a loss.

      Teaching is really a serious profession, you are the molders of nations youth and create their path to take. But sometimes a teacher's problem will sometimes create a barricade to give the best education that they should acquire of the journey of life of a student. However, behind all these things, one thing is for sure, "teachers have a pivotal role to play in preparing the young generation to help realize our hopes that the coming century will see a more socially just, more tolerant and more peaceful world. It is but necessary that we should appreciate and acknowledge them, to empower and give them what is due to them so that they will be strengthened and not weakened so that they will encourage to act and to excel in the name of public service and a loving atmosphere.

When you are watching news in the television and the person who is interviewed is the most powerful person in the Philippines: the President. Have you seen yourself to be like with him? Or have you ask yourself, what if I will be the President of the Philippines? If that reverie will become a veracity what will you do for your countrymen? Being a president takes a lot of time, endeavor and enthusiasm. This kind of profession is giving the utmost limit and the best that you can bestow. Sometimes becoming a leader of a country is tough because all the eyes of the people are staring at all your dealings and any little mistake you have done will create a bad notion to them. The good thing is as a president it is a great opportunity and you name will be inline with the famous Presidents you are considered as a hero of the nation like Emilio Aguinaldo, Ramon Magsaysay and Corazon ‘Cory’ Aquino that are known to have done something good in the nation. If I will be the President of the Philippines I have so many plans that already drawn in my mind to serve my countrymen.

If I will be the President of the Philippines I will revamp and improve all the parks in the country so that we can play with my family safe and sound. If I will be the President of the Philippines I will Implement a law that every student in schools are oblige to plant a tree on their backyard and this will be their assignment. They need to sprinkle the plant with water to grow on bounty, if I will be the President of the Philippines there will be a plenty of books in every school that students can read anytime and most especially those books with stories and poems about a true Filipino. If I will be the President of the Philippines I will give the poor the right to be educated and I will give them food and drinks to eat and a good teacher to help them in learning well; I will also give shelters to the children of streets and they will no longer sleep on the colds of the streets. If will be the president of the Philippines it will be comfortably and lofty to live in the country, that they will not think to live and migrate because Philippines is one and only.

These are just few of my many ideas I planned if that day will become to a reality

They say I am so young and early to acquire this kind of responsibility as my mother, my father, my teacher and even my friends told so. I even remember a famous line in the movie Spiderman states that “Great power comes with great responsibility”.

Nevertheless, they were very excited on achieving my dream because of my brilliant plans. I said that what is me today is not a hindrance that even a simple citizen like me can do a difference in my own way.

 Filipinos are eminent to have extraordinary abilities and talent especially if we talk about sports. Basketball, badminton, soccer, boxing, billiard and volleyball are few of the well known sports that we like to play. Engaging in sports can help us become not only socially and physically healthy but also it brought us fulfillment and fun to us.

Tumbang preso, patintero, tagu-taguan, luksong tinik and many traditional Filipino games. Sad to say that in our generation nowadays because of the technologies, these traditional games are slowly gone. Most of the people are fun of playing the modern-technology games like psp games, computer games, cellphone games and many games produced by technology.

We people should not forget these sports and traditional games. Even though we are facing with this kind of problem we as a people are capable to do specific solution for this such as instead of playing with these modern games we should spend it by playing such traditional games. By this games we are not only acquiring a good health it also boost our self-esteem to face other people and to communicate with them.

Yes we are in the modern world, everything are work with the inventions of technology innovations are dominating drastically but we should not forget these traditional games for these are some symbolic idea on our nationality as a citizen of the Philippines and should be preserved for the next generation to apply and enjoyment and fun it reside,

       All of us here in the world have different understanding and perception whenever we can see a particular thing or event in our life. It is like also when we've heard a news in the television particularly when it is a crime issue. We do not easily believed on it even if there are some evidences that has been shown because on the first place we can;t judge there insights since we don't have the authority to against about it. .

            In  connection with this "Evolution theory" is one of the oldest and most controversial issue that was created by Charles Darwin. Darwin's "Theory of Evolution is the widely held notion that all lies is related and has descended from a common ancestor, most especially about human evolution. Darwin's general theory presumes the development of life from non-life and stresses a purely naturalistic or undirected descent with modification. That is, complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally overtime. It creates a doubt on our mind on what is really the truth in terms of our  real origin and personalities that we came from the family of monkeys. At first it creates curiosity on each of us. When we say theory it is a kind of observation or information that has an evidences who can proved that it is a reliable information. But do we believe on it? In fact, from the word "theory" means a stage that is still behind from becoming a Law, so it means any means of discovery can purely erased everything that has been observed.The big question is, if monkeys are our origin that we really came from the evolved form of the monkeys then why is there still an existence of monkeys in present situation if they are evolved into human? It sounds funny isn't it? Sometimes we say yes we have some aspects that we human have that are present to monkeys but still it is not a pure direct evidence that leads toward about it.

          In conclusion, Evolution Theory is a factual information but as a researcher, I don't believe on it actually. The only thing that I want to say is that the decision is in ourselves whether to believe this one or not because as what I have said a while ago all of us here have different understanding or beliefs and at the end we are the one who choose our decisions.

Human is one of the very special creations that God made. He create human to manage and to protect all of his creations. Humans are cam from one origin. Through human God form it into one family which is composed of a mother, a father and their children. Having a family is very important for us because we can’t survive without our family. We know that “No man is an island” which means no man can survive without anyone else. Family is the greatest gift of God that was given to us. Within our family we experience happiness because of the love and care that out mother and father gave to us.

In our everyday life we face so many trials, sometimes we can easily faced it but sometimes it is worse than we expected. As a human being it is normal for us to experience some trials and it is not easy for use to face it, If we encounter a problem the first person who could help us are our family. From them we could get more strength to fight and hope to scope all the trials.

Every family encounters so many challenges in their everyday life but because of the unity and the love of all the members of the family they easily cope it. We know that love is the best ingredient that we need to have a strong and loving family. Like our food that we eat such as fruits and vegetables and any other food that give us energy to live. Every single ingredients are important to give flavor to our life but if there is no seasoning can you imagined what is the flavor will it be? Yes we know it is not good. That is why if there is no love with in our family everything are meaningless. There is always a conflict inside and outside.

Love is not hard to find. We could find it anywhere and anytime. Every people could love at all the people who surround us. But the love that may we experience from other people are not the same as the love that our family gives to us. The love that we need experienced from our family are true and unconditional love because the love that we need as a human that can immediately heal the pain inside our heart and can made us strong everyday are only our family. God gives us only one family not ten, hundreds, thousands. We couldn’t find them anywhere. Unlike our friends, neighbors and friends who surround us. So that we have to love and care our family to make all the things and happiness in our lives to be meaningful and colorful.

      Most of the people nowadays were still curious about the origin of every simple thing ; on how all of these things was created, either living things or non- living things. Can be seen or can’t be seen. For now, we are going to be specific to one scope, that is the creation of the world.
There are 2 side of explanation on how our world was created. These are the Science and the Bible. When we base on our religious belief which base on the bible, it explains the Seven Day Creation made by God the Father, our Creator.All the things that is present in this world is of God’s Creation in just six days for He rested On the Seventh Day.
      On the other hand, there are also several different scientific theories that explains how the world was formed and the most popular is the Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang theory states that the world came from a cosmic egg that is extremely hot. The cosmic egg burst and the pieces that were torn formed into planets and other heavenly bodies. Some other scientific theories are Tidal Theory, Nebular Theory, Solar Disruption Theory, Planetissimal Theory, Dynamic Encounter Theory, Condensation Theory and etc.
However, it depends on the people on what explanation they are going to believe as long as they know these two different reasons.

     The planet Earth is our only shelter to live on as a human. Its the only planet in the solar system that plants and animals can survive and dwell together since our basic necessities of a living organism are here like the air that able us to breath, the water to strive our quenches, the food to give us energy and all the things we need in everyday life. It likely to say that the role of our planet since it is our shelter and give us our needs and love is like our mother or somehow we tend to say as our "Mother Earth".

     Before, we live in a free from worry type of living. Living our life to the fullest because we are dealing our everyday life just as simple, no technology in our jobs, no tall buildings arises and there is no huge cars that causes traffic every morning in our roadways. We play all the time, even under the sun. But all of these are just what we felt before. As the time passes by and many years have pass the way of living of the people also adapt to the fast developments of people's way of living. Have you ever feel that we are experiencing an abnormal rise of climate from time to time that results to an extreme heat? This is the climate change or popularly known as the "greenhouse effect"this is the result of the heat coming from the sun and our earth's atmosphere who is responsible for reducing the amount of heat that should enter the Earth's layer is now in extremely thin.

    We, the human beings who live on this planet didn't even know that in our everyday life we destroy our Mother Earth? How? Have you ever think every time we drove on our car everyday we release a smoke or what we call smoke-belching. These smokes are flown in the atmosphere that cause to destroy little by little the Earth's atmosphere? Another is when we burn our plastic materials and we didn't know that the smoke it will release will also go to the atmosphere just like the smoke from the car. Have we ever think of caring our planet, our only home? As the citizens of this planet Earth we should be the defender and the leader of preserving our planet since we are the one who benefit after all. If you will say that you can't do it just because your just an individual and you can't do anything to change the world's condition then think again. Even you can make a difference to save and preserve our mother Earth even on our own little way. One way is to be responsible on throwing our garbage such as we should segregate our trashes like we should separate those that are easily be decomposed like piece of paper, banana peels, and other natural made materials. Those who are man made materials like plastics cannot be break down. These can be reused again or what we call 'recycling' by this mean we are not only saving our planet but also we can gain money by selling this materials to junk shop. What a great idea isn't it? It is true that conserving our planet is a big challenge to pursue but if we get together and do our part as a people on this Earth everything will lead us to the right path.

    We must preserve and save our planet Earth, it is our only home to live in that our life spends here. For such we should put on our mind that since this is our planet or we treat is as our Mother we should cherish and protect it from any problems that may lead to its danger. We can make difference and this difference will surely have a great impact and will do a great job in saving our only "Mother Earth".
